I make these designer earrings that I designed myself by 3D printing them from plant-based PLA plastic. PLA (polylactic acid) is made from renewable raw materials such as corn starch. Recycled PLA, which I mainly use in jewelry, is an even better option for the environment, because the material is already in its second cycle of use, and its production does not consume valuable farmland. In the glittering colors, non-toxic metal flakes have been added to the PLA.
